Welcome to 5 Acre Arts
... an Artist Collective
Lynda Abare hails from the high desert -- north of Phoenix, Arizona. Her longtime dream of a simple desert house surrounded by wildlife and desert flora came true and provides ample inspiration and motivation for her newest venture, "5 Acre Arts... an Artist Collective".
We’re glad you came to visit and we hope you’ll discover some new favorite(s) -- check out our Mixed Media, PMC, Chainmaille, Handmade Books and Journals, Repujado (metal embossing), Painted Papers, and more -- just click HERE, or one of the photo inserts below, for electronic access to the artists and their creations at 5 Acre Arts.
October 2008
For the artists at 5 Acre Arts, this summer’s highlight was ART Unraveled 2008, a mixed-media art retreat in Phoenix, Arizona. Yes, the weather was WARM and the pool was COOL - We all enjoyed a week of creative workshops, comraderie, and FUN at ART Unraveled 2008. Playing and learning new art techniques is a great way to spend a week with your friends!
The Art Unraveled Shopping Extravaganza was on Saturday, and 5 Acre Arts was back again this year.
Lynda invited passersby to play with Pewter and Repujado (metal embossing), while Cheryl demonstrated the “ins and outs” of Kumihimo Weaving with beads. 5 Acre Arts had two tables packed with eye candy and to those who stopped by, “We sure enjoyed meeting y’all!”
For everyone interested in attending classes, an updated workshop schedule can be found on each individual artist’s Gallery page.
